This individual will provide leadership to support an academically rigorous, student-centered culture on campus, driving institutional and programmatic accreditation, and utilizing data to guide decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize and administer the University, making policy recommendations to the Board on all matters that affect the institution.
  • Recommend additions or changes in personnel and personnel policies, meeting regularly with department directors and above.
  • Attend Board of Trustee meetings, overseeing presentations to the Board by University staff, and exercising broad, discretionary power to fulfill the University's mission.
  • Work closely with institutional partner universities to ensure a strong and active engagement with the universities and the successful implementation of programs and services.
  • Conduct regular reviews of the technology-focused curriculum to ensure it aligns with current industry standards and emerging technological trends.
  • Formulate reports as required by the Board and/or government agencies, serving as the institutional champion and building an effective and cohesive leadership team.
  • Provide faculty and staff opportunities to grow, engage, and develop their professional expertise, sustaining a highly qualified faculty and staff.
  • Cultivate cross-campus collaboration between faculty, staff, and students, facilitating a culture of continuous improvement in the university.
  • Serve as a highly visible ambassador for the University to the external community, establishing innovative partnerships and representing AIU at functions.
Requirements:
  • Advanced degree required (MBA preferred) or Ph.D.
  • Minimum of five years of leadership at the senior level, with experience in strategic, educational, and facilities master planning.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in Academic Affairs, Student Life, and University Administration, with visionary, innovative, and effective leadership.
  • Demonstrated understanding of, sensitivity to, and respect for diverse cultural backgrounds, with knowledge of and experience in preparing for institutional and program accreditation.
  • Organizational skills with an emphasis in budget and resource management, with a proven track record of team-building acumen and demonstrated successful leadership in a complex environment.
