Job Title: Senior Vice President and Vice President of Risk Management

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Vice President and Vice President of Risk Management to join our Risk team at BNY Mellon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying and analyzing financial risk regulations globally, providing business and risk functions with advice on interpretation of regulatory requirements and expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Review and assessment of applicability for all global prudential regulations, providing appropriate reporting and insight on regulatory requirements to senior stakeholders throughout BNY Mellon.
  2. Coordination of cross-functional or complex regulatory requirements and analysis of potential change requirements.
  3. Provide a central point of contact within the 2nd line risk function for large scale projects.
  4. Provide accurate and timely technical advice, oversight, and challenge to management on prudential regulatory requirements.
  5. Support assessment for completeness of compliance-owned regulatory change processes, including regulatory identification and traceability.
  6. Coordinate with internal stakeholders, such as Government Affairs and Legal, to represent Risk Management perspectives on prudential regulation topics that require advocacy.
  7. Support coordination and management of global financial risk management forums.
  8. Input into continued development of Risk and Compliance standards for prudential regulation.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  2. Experience in financial risk management and/or regulatory compliance.
  3. Business Analytics or Risk, Financial or Regulatory Reporting background preferred.
  4. Good understanding of key regulations relating to capital, liquidity or other risk topics, with a preference for experience of implementation or interpretation of regulatory requirements.
  5. Knowledge of US or EMEA regulatory landscape and current priorities, with experience of translating regulatory understanding into a business context.
  6. Experience in managing cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders across technical or framework implementation.
