About the Role

The University of Manchester is seeking a highly skilled Senior NetIQ Engineer to join its IDAM engineering team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining the IDAM frameworks, systems, and protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement IDAM systems, including physical data flows, user classification, governance frameworks, and backup and recovery procedures.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate IDAM functional requirements into technical designs.
  • Review and ensure the security of University systems, including identity provider services and identity governance and administration services.
  • Install, configure, and manage NetIQ eDirectory and NetIQ IDM solution in an Open Enterprise Server/SuSE Linux environment.
  • Implement security controls within the NetIQ eDirectory and NetIQ IDM environment.
  • Construct, interpret, and execute test plans and test cases to verify successful end-to-end operation of the completed IDAM tools, systems, and integrations.

Requirements

  • Experience with NetIQ eDirectory and IDM.
  • Proficiency in installing, configuring, and managing NetIQ eDirectory and NetIQ IDM solution in an Open Enterprise Server/SuSE Linux environment.
  • Strong knowledge of LDAP and directory services.
  • Proficiency with integrating NetIQ IDM drivers with other enterprise systems.
  • Experience with scripting and automation, including proficiency in scripting languages such as XML, ECMAScript, and Javascript.
  • Experience in implementing security controls within the NetIQ eDirectory and NetIQ IDM environment.
