Job Description

As a highly specialist Speech and Language Therapist for Children with Special Educational Needs (SEND), you will lead our Children's Speech and Language Therapy team in delivering exceptional services. This role requires a dynamic leader who can inspire and motivate their team members to deliver high-quality care.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and supervision to the Children's Speech and Language Therapy team.
  • Develop and implement innovative services, best practices, and policies to enhance the team's performance.
  • Collaborate with families, education, health, and social care colleagues to provide optimal support to children and young people.
  • Manage and coordinate the delivery of Speech and Language Therapy services across the county.

Requirements
  • Recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Member of the RCSLT.
  • Registered as Speech and Language Therapist with the Health Care Professions Council.
  • Valid UK driving licence, access to vehicle, and ability to drive to different locations within working hours.
  • Experience working with children and young people with SEND, EHC process, and provision.
  • Leadership and supervision experience.
  • A postgraduate qualification relating to speech and language therapy is desirable.
  • Providing second opinions and supervision for therapists working with children and young people with SEND.
