Speech and Language Therapy Team Lead for Children with SEND

We are seeking a highly experienced Speech and Language Therapist to lead our team providing specialist clinical services to children with Special Educational Needs (SEND). As a Band 7 Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care and ensuring the best possible outcomes for children and their families.

The successful candidate will have a recognised Speech and Language Therapy Degree or equivalent qualification, be a member of the RCSLT, and registered as a Speech and Language Therapist with the Health Care Professions Council. They will also have experience of working with Children and Young People (CYP) with SEND, EHC process and provision, and experience in leadership/supervision activities.

About the Role

This is a permanent position working 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the speech and language therapy team and providing specialist clinical services to children with special educational needs. They will also be required to work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure that children receive the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement clinical pathways for children with SEND
  • Supervise and mentor junior Speech and Language Therapists
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure best possible care
