Job Title: Physician Referral Coordinator

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Physician Referral Coordinator to manage external referrals for our medical practice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for booking appointments, providing patients with referral forms, closing referrals quarterly, and verifying outside appointments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the external referral process, ensuring timely communication with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Book appointments and schedule authorizations as needed.
  • Closing referrals quarterly and maintaining accurate records.
  • Verifying patient information and updating demographic and insurance details.
  • Triage incoming calls and direct them accordingly.
  • Attend monthly practice meetings and participate in discussions.

Requirements:

  • High School/GED with 1-3 years of experience in a job-related field or equivalent required.
  • Medical office experience is essential.
  • Excellent customer service skills, computer proficiency, and team player attitude required.
