Job Title: Support Worker for Teenage Girl with Spinal Cord Injury

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced support worker to join our team and provide care and companionship to a 15-year-old girl with a spinal cord injury.

About the Role:
  • Provide personal care and support with daily living tasks, including showering, dressing, and using the bathroom.
  • Assist with mobility and handling, including the use of a transfer board and hoist.
  • Support the girl's interests and hobbies, both at home and in the community.
  • Help with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation, shopping, and getting ready for bed/day.
  • Monitor and support the girl's healthcare needs, including tracheostomy and gastrostomy care.
  • Encourage and support the girl's learning and development of new skills and independence.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with complex needs, particularly those with spinal cord injuries.
  • Knowledge of tracheostomy and gastrostomy care.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable and punctual with a flexible approach to working hours.
