Community Children's Nurse

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Children's Nurse to join our Community Children's Nursing Team as a Band 6 Community Children's Nurse. This is a fixed-term contract opportunity to cover sickness for 6 months or longer.
Main Duties
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing generic nursing care to children with short and long-term conditions within their own homes and wider community. This will involve working autonomously in role, setting high professional standards, and demonstrating excellent communication skills and ability to team work and lead by example.
About the Role
As a key member of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will be joining an exceptional team working together to help our patients to stay healthy, when they need it most. You will need to work in partnership with all levels of Health Care professionals and NHS providers of services as well as with other statutory and voluntary agencies.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have experience in team leading and community working, with a thorough understanding in safeguarding and a broad range of clinical knowledge and skills in paediatric nursing. You will also need to be able to educate patients, parent/carers, professionals and other agencies about different health care conditions when necessary.
Working Pattern
This is a 30 hours per week, 09:00 - 17:00 hours Monday to Friday (working flexibly around patient needs, for earlier or later visits) opportunity. A car owner/driver is essential.
