Main Responsibilities:- Apprenticeship Enrollment: Ensure apprentices are enrolled in the correct apprenticeship standard and HNC/BSc programs aligned with their career goals.
- Engagement and Assessment: Discuss course content, objectives, assessment processes, and criteria with apprentices and their employers at the initial engagement. Ensure that employers provide the necessary work environment for apprentices to meet qualification standards.
- Guidance and Feedback: Provide clear instructions to apprentices on evidence submission, evaluate the quality and relevance of their work, and give constructive feedback. This includes using the Smart Assessor E-portfolio system.
- Progress Monitoring: Collaborate with HNC/BSc lecturers to monitor apprentices' progress, prepare reports, and conduct formal progress reviews with apprentices and employers every 10 to 12 weeks. Ensure all developmental actions are documented and objectives are met on time.
- Student Preparation: Prepare apprentices for final projects and end-point assessments, coordinating with employers to plan project sign-offs.
- Student Welfare: Monitor the behavior, attendance, and welfare of apprentices, addressing any areas of concern promptly, including safeguarding issues.
- Industry Experience: Demonstrated experience in senior construction roles such as construction management, civil engineering, or planning is essential.
- Education Delivery/Assessment Experience: Ideally, candidates will hold qualifications such as TAQA, A1, or D32 for assessing competency qualifications. However, significant experience in competency assessment without formal qualifications will also be considered.
- Communication Skills: Ability to provide clear and accurate instructions to groups of students and maintain a structured approach to monitoring progress.
- Student Support: Ability to monitor, guide, and support apprentices in both their academic and professional development.
