Apprentice Trainer for Carpentry 29.We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Apprentice Trainer for Site Carpentry to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of industry experience as a qualified site carpenter (Level 3) and will be passionate about shaping the next generation of carpenters. This role involves planning, delivering, marking, and assessing both practical and theoretical training for apprentices, guiding them through their Carpentry and Joinery apprenticeship (Level 2) and Craft Carpentry apprenticeship (Level 3) standards.
Engagement:Discuss course content, objectives, assessment processes, and criteria with employers and apprentices during initial engagement.
Curriculum Planning:Develop and deliver well-structured lesson plans and Schemes of Work, preparing learning materials as needed.
Assessment and Feedback:Mark apprentices' work, provide developmental feedback, and guide them on submitting quality evidence via Smart Assessor E-portfolio.
Collaboration:Work with lecturers and workplace training officers to monitor apprentice progress and prepare progress reports for formal reviews every 10-12 weeks.
Prepare students for their final projects and End Point Assessments, working closely with Training Officers to ensure readiness.
Industry Experience:Minimum of 5 years of experience as a qualified site carpenter to Level 3, with up-to-date skills and knowledge in current building practices.

Teaching Qualifications:Ideally hold a teaching qualification such as Cert Ed, CITLLS, PTLLS, DTLLS, DET, or relevant TAQA modules. Candidates with sufficient experience but without formal teaching qualifications may be considered, but will be required to complete a teaching qualification program.
