Sewell Wallis recruitment is working with a leading Doncaster-based practice to find a skilled Payroll Assistant to join their team on a part-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll on a weekly and monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage a portfolio of approximately 100 clients, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Calculate employee pay, considering hours worked, overtime rates, taxes, national insurance payments, and other factors.
  • Process cash, cheques, and electronic employee payments, as well as holiday, sick, maternity, and paternity leave payments.
  • Answer employee questions about timesheets and payslips, providing clear and concise information.
  • Distribute forms such as P45, P60, and P11d, ensuring compliance with HMRC procedures.
  • Process PAYE deductions and send payroll information to HM Revenue and Customs.
  • Obtain and verify direct debit banking information from employees.
Requirements:
  • Experience running end-to-end payroll, with a strong understanding of HMRC procedures.
  • Able to manage a large portfolio of clients, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Knowledge of PAYE procedures and ability to calculate taxes and national insurance.
