At Lockton, we're seeking a highly skilled Retail Property Broker to join our team in the city. This exciting opportunity will allow you to utilize your expertise in programme design, placement, and consultancy to deliver exceptional results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide programme design and placement services for Lockton clients in line with agreed account strategies and operating procedures.
  • Manage market relationships at both operational and strategic levels.
  • Market access across a broad range of geographies, including London/UK and Central Europe.
  • Understand clients' risk profiles, business needs, and exposures to provide advice on coverage, programme pricing, and retention strategy.
  • Oversee the preparation and issuance of coverage documentation, including wordings and placement slips within agreed contract certainty deadlines.
  • Assist with the resolution of service issues with insurers and other third-party providers.
  • Undertake technical reviews of insurance programmes for clients, making recommendations for change where deemed relevant.
  • Benchmark clients' programme limits, coverage, and deductibles as required.
  • Maintain a current knowledge of cover written by major insurers and communicate to relevant Associates.
  • Stay abreast of insurance market developments and communicate to those Associates as deemed appropriate.
  • Monitor the market to consider the most appropriate placement strategy for Lockton clients.
  • Support new business opportunities to drive organisational revenue growth.
  • Provide support in drafting reports, presentations, and bulletins for internal and external use.
  • Drive team efficiencies through innovative input on new products and processes.

Candidate Profile:

  • CII Qualification.
  • Proven track record of effective stakeholder management.
  • Ability to review and understand financial management information.
  • Previous experience in placing retail property business for UK and global clients.
  • Ability to develop innovative and practical solutions for clients.
  • Maintains client and market relationships to enable resolution of issues and completion of client projects.
  • Demonstrates strong professional negotiation and persuasion skills to achieve objectives.
  • Able to engage others to introduce approaches that transform the business.
