Senior Commercial Property Underwriter Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Property Underwriter to join our team at Stride Resource Management. This exciting opportunity will see you working with key strategic intermediary partners to underwrite large and complex property risks within the London Market environment.

The ideal candidate will operate within their underwriting authority, working closely with the UK Property Manager to deliver exceptional service to customers and innovative underwriting solutions. You will also support less experienced colleagues to increase their knowledge and experience, and be comfortable trading face-to-face with intermediaries or clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Working with key strategic intermediary partners to underwrite large and complex property risks within the London Market environment.
  • Operating within your underwriting authority to deliver exceptional service to customers and innovative underwriting solutions.
  • Supporting less experienced colleagues to increase their knowledge and experience.
  • Trading face-to-face with intermediaries or clients.
  • Supporting the identification and recruitment of experienced Underwriting Professionals into the business.
Requirements:
  • A strong knowledge of all regulatory and legal requirements applicable to the position.
  • Excellent technical expertise in Property Underwriting, including an understanding of underwriting risks for large and complex customers.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills to effectively interact with internal and external business partners at all levels.
  • Capacity to work independently and exercise independent judgment in making critical business decisions.
  • Strong ability to identify, analyse, and solve problems as well as learn rapidly, adapt quickly to change, and manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Skilled in using Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software.
