About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Anticoagulant Clinical Specialist to join our team at Ashford and St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and leading the outreach anticoagulation clinics at Woking Community Diagnostic Hub, implementing treatment plans, and assisting the team in the organisation and day-to-day running of the Anticoagulant Service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead the outreach anticoagulation clinics at Woking Community Diagnostic Hub
  • Implement treatment plans for patients requiring anticoagulation therapy
  • Assist the team in the organisation and day-to-day running of the Anticoagulant Service
  • Liaise with GP, SPA, and District Nurse Teams
  • Attend Trust Thrombosis committee meetings
  • Maintain anticoagulant software and make dose adjustments using the computerised anticoagulation therapy management system (DAWN)
Person Specification

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Anticoagulant Clinical Specialist with:

  • 1st Level Registered Nurse qualification
  • ENB 998 or other relevant teaching qualifications
  • Completed competencies for Anticoagulation Clinical Nurse Specialist assessed by Consultant Hematologist
  • Experience within Anticoagulation at Specialist level
  • Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team
