Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our team in North Devon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to adults with a wide range of disabilities and health conditions.
About the RoleAs an Occupational Therapist with Devon County Council, you will have the opportunity to work in a supportive and experienced team, with regular peer support, supervision, appraisal, team meetings, and a commitment to learning and development. You will have access to regular CPD sessions and the opportunity to travel around North Devon to assess and support individuals in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide person-centred occupational therapy services to adults with disabilities and health conditions.
- Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized plans to promote independence and safety.
- Work closely with other agencies and teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Hold and manage a caseload, providing a high-quality service to individuals and their carers.
- Participate in service development and contribute to the growth and improvement of our occupational therapy services.
- 26 days annual leave, plus Bank Holidays, rising incrementally to 31 days after 5 years service.
- Recognition of NHS continuous service for contractual annual leave purposes.
- Opportunity to enter a generous Local Government Pension Scheme.
- Relocation support of up to £10,000, subject to qualifying conditions.
- Visa sponsorship may be offered as part of the relocation support package.
- Minimum of 2 years post-qualifying experience in occupational therapy.
- Experience of working in close liaison with other agencies and in a Social Care and/or Health community setting.
- Professional knowledge acquired through degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy.
- Registered as fit to practice by the Health and Care Professions Council.
