Job Title: Quality Governance Manager

Join our team at Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals as a Quality Governance Manager, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, where you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective patient safety frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and promoting a culture of openness and transparency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement patient safety frameworks that are quality-centric and aligned with trust, hospital, division, and service requirements.
  • Ensure the delivery of a rolling programme of governance activities, including incident investigations, audits, and risk management.
  • Provide specialist advice on quality assurance and patient safety, and work with performance and contracting colleagues to establish action plans for positive change.
  • Liaise with the Head of Quality Governance to agree and achieve deliverables, and support the implementation and evaluation of national policy and guidance.
  • Lead the management of patient safety events and share learning from these events to promote a culture of openness and transparency.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Professional knowledge and additional specialist management knowledge acquired through training and experience.
  • Postgraduate qualification or equivalent experience in clinical governance.
  • PSIRF-approved training and risk management qualification.
  • Good working knowledge of risk and incident management in relation to the NHS Patient Safety Strategy.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft packages.
  • Ability to demonstrate and generate commitment to patient experience, public involvement, and equality and diversity.
