Customer Service Desk Operative

Programme: LCST

Location: Bicester, UK

We're seeking a driven and dedicated individual to join our team in Bicester.

The Customer Service Desk operates a Jira based customer service tool called Komodo, offering customers a dynamic and flexible approach to raising tickets. As a Customer Service Desk Operative, you will provide support to customers on Operations/Exercises across the UK and worldwide 24/7, 365 days a year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, record and resolve customer queries by telephone/Komodo.
  • Refer unresolvable Tier 1 tickets to Tier 2/3 or Team Leader.
  • Communicate all responses back to the Customer in a polite and professional manner.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by your Team Leader.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload.
  • Establish yourself as a team player and be welcoming and accepting of everyone.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Previous experience of working within a call centre environment is preferred, but full training will be given.

Working Hours:

  • 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday 08:00-16:30.
  • The role is a combination of office and home working.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Clearance to Start BPSS.
  • Clearance for Role SC.

Who We Are:

The Logistics Commodities & Services Transformation (LCST) Programme for the UK Ministry of Defence is a critical effort to enhance and improve the UK's defence supply chain. The programme provides essential services such as storage and distribution for the MOD's materiel, including a global freight service and the procurement and inventory management of 70,000 commodity NATO Stock Number (NSNs).
