Role Overview:

This role requires a dedicated and empathetic Counselling Specialist to join our team at Brook Street Social Care. As a Domestic Violence Advocate, you will play a critical part in supporting survivors of domestic violence through one-to-one and group counselling sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality counselling services to meet the complex needs of survivors
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with community agencies and resources to ensure seamless care
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance service delivery
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in DV support

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, social work)
  • Significant experience in the DV sector with a proven track record of success
  • Strong assessment and response skills to manage risk situations effectively

Salary and Benefits:

The hourly rate is £15, paid over 3 days a week (9am-5pm) with opportunities for extension beyond the initial fixed-term contract.
