Job Title: SEN Primary Class Teacher

We are recruiting a skilled teacher to join our team as a SEN Primary Class Teacher.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and teaching Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils, aged 5-11 years old, who have Social Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH) and additional associated Learning Difficulties.

All classes will be fully supported with Teaching/Learning Support Assistants, with typical class sizes between 6-8 students.

£32,217 - £44,277 per annum

Located in Vauxhall, Lambeth (South London)

About the Role
  1. Teach students of varying abilities, including those with different learning levels.
  2. Develop and adapt the curriculum according to individual students' Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs).
  3. Utilise monitoring and assessment strategies to evaluate pupils' progress.
  4. Focus on improving long-term outcomes for our young people.
Requirements
  • Prior experience teaching at KS1 and/or KS2 (preferably with Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Ability to create engaging and high-quality lessons.
  • Experience teaching and/or working with students who have special needs.
  • Excellent behaviour management skills and a calm, patient manner.
