Future Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEMH Specialist Teacher to join our outstanding SEND Provision located in London Borough of Lewisham.

The ideal candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status with strong skills in managing Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and challenging behaviour.

As a SEMH Specialist Teacher, you will be responsible for creating and delivering engaging lessons tailored to the needs of Year 6 students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Class sizes are small, typically between 5-6 children per class with Behaviour Support Staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the individual needs of students with SEMH and ASD.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students, ensuring they are regularly reviewed and updated.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, using appropriate strategies to support students with challenging behaviours.

Requirements:

  • Must have Qualified Teacher Status (either Primary or Secondary trained teacher).
  • Taught in either a SEMH School / PRU/ Alternative Provision/ Primary School OR a Secondary School.
