Job Role Overview


We are seeking a highly skilled Editorial Leader to join our team at Reach plc. As a key member of our editorial team, you will be responsible for deputising for the Editor in Chief or Deputy Editor in Chief as needed, steering operations and representing the esteemed Express brand in senior editorial meetings.


Key Responsibilities



  • Oversee all multimedia content and collaborate with departments to create a dynamic website teeming with personality and attitude.
  • Manage forward planning and distribute engaging content across multiple platforms, driving impactful Express campaigns and promoting the brand with enthusiasm.
  • Create and implement editorial strategies with precision, ensuring you and your team meet targets.
  • Nurture existing talent, and play a key role in recruiting new team members, fostering an open and inclusive culture.
  • Lead daily conferences, working alongside the Express senior leadership on innovative strategies and projects, ensuring all content is legally sound and IPSO-compliant.

Qualifications and Requirements


We are looking for a senior qualified journalist with a proven track record of creating and editing high-quality content within similar national or major regional titles. You should have a natural ease in managing staff within a dynamic and high-pressure environment, adapting seamlessly to change.
