Job Summary:

This role offers an opportunity to join our specialist Early Intervention in Psychosis Team as a CPA Care Coordinator.

As a Community Psychiatric Nurse Specialist, you will work with individuals experiencing a first episode of psychosis, providing an early intervention to reduce the length of time they remain undiagnosed and untreated.

Main Duties:

  • Under line management and clinical supervision, maintain and coordinate timely and appropriate interventions through mental health nursing for a caseload of service users living in the Bolton area.
  • Work within the framework of CPA and in line with relevant clinical pathways as outlined within the EIT.
  • Be required to work the core hours of 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday, but flexible working will be required to meet service needs.
  • Participate in weekend and bank holiday working on a rota basis as required to maintain the out-of-hours service offered by the Trust.

Qualifications:

  • Registration with the regulatory body NMC.
  • Willingness to participate in own continuing professional development within this specialist field.

Experience:

  • Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience in the application of the Care Programme Approach.

Knowledge:

  • Full understanding of the Care Programme Approach and Mental Health Act, including the needs and rights of Carers.
  • Good knowledge and application of Risk Management.

Trust Mandatory Requirements:

  • Understand all Trust Policies and Procedures.
  • Understand the Trust's Strategic Goals and how they can support them.
