The Opportunity

As a Deputy Care Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the local manager and driving the success of our Ballymena office. You will be responsible for managing, motivating, and inspiring a team of care professionals to deliver the highest quality care possible.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support the manager in overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Registered Operations Manager to implement company policies and procedures, upholding CQC standards and regulations.
  • Take care enquiries, conduct initial consultations, and onboard new clients, building strong relationships from the outset.
  • Develop detailed care plans and risk assessments, ensuring safe and legal delivery of care services.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to the care team.
  • Oversee the training and development of care professionals, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Manage on-call duties as part of a rota system, responding effectively to emergency situations and ensuring continuity of care.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in the home care sector (domiciliary and Live In care preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory responsibilities within the care industry.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel etc.) and computer literacy.
  • Strong leadership and management abilities with a commitment to fostering a positive and supportive team environment.
  • Full driving license.
