Job Title: Nursery Room Leader

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Nursery Room Leader to join our team at Bright Horizons Little DISCoveries Nursery and Preschool in Cambridge.

The ideal candidate will have a sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage, strong knowledge of Safeguarding and Child Protection, and the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

The nursery offers a range of facilities, including 8 age-appropriate rooms, a courtyard garden, a wellness garden, and a multi-function room with multimedia technology.

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000-£55,000 per annum, benefits, and development opportunities. The successful candidate will also be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, mentor and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education
  • Ensure the learning environment provides consistent stimulation and engaging activities for the children
  • Deliver and plan rich learning opportunities and exceptional care to help all children to develop and meet their individual milestones
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents and/or carers, as well as other professionals
  • Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding
  • Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment
Requirements:
  • Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
  • Previous experience working within an Early Years setting - ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator or similar
  • Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
  • Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
