Job Title: Procurement Specialist

Job Summary:

The Rooflight Co. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our Resilient, Agile and Focused Operations Team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for building meaningful and professional relationships with our suppliers, ensuring accurate data input, and driving continual improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with our suppliers to achieve best price, quality, and availability for indirect materials.

Purchase Order Management: Monitor and expedite purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of materials and minimizing stock outs.

Data Input and Monitoring: Ensure accurate and timely ordering of materials through our ERP system and requisition emails.

Procurement Credit Card Expenses: Process and manage procurement credit card expenses.

Invoice Queries: Resolve invoice queries and ensure compliance with company guidelines and purchasing policies.

Stationery and Staff Welfare Items: Manage the procurement and inventory of stationery and staff welfare items.

Continual Improvement and Compliance:

• Engage in continuous improvement practices to enhance procurement processes and identify opportunities for cost savings.

• Ensure compliance with company guidelines, purchasing policies, and procedures.

Requirements:

• Previous work experience in a procurement team, ideally within manufacturing.

• Good knowledge of purchasing and commercial understanding of other business area functions.

• Experience of using an ERP system.

• Confident telephone manner and excellent communication skills.

• Organized and proactive with the ability to prioritize workload.

• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications – Word and Excel.

• Negotiating skills and attention to detail.

Working Hours and Location:

20-25 hours per week, with hybrid working from home 40% of the time once probation completed.
