Procurement Administrator

The Rooflight Co. is a successful, employee-owned business with approximately 50 employees, designing and manufacturing rooflights and roof windows for the UK construction/specification market.

As a Procurement Administrator, you will be responsible for building meaningful and professional relationships with our suppliers, accurate data input, and continual improvement activities.

Reporting into the Procurement Specialist as part of the Resilient, Agile, and Focused Operations Team, you will have the opportunity to work with all areas of the business where no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build meaningful and professional relationships with our suppliers.
  • Achieve best price, quality, and availability for indirect materials.
  • Monitor overdue purchase orders and liaise with suppliers to ensure goods are delivered before stock outs arise.
  • Track and expedite purchase orders.
  • Liaise with suppliers and other departments by phone/email to ensure alignment and support for procurement activities.
  • Ensure timely ordering of materials through the ERP system and requisition emails.
  • Ensure the ERP system is updated with confirmed delivery dates.
  • Update item purchase prices on our system once approved.
  • Process Procurement credit card expenses.
  • Resolution of invoice queries.
  • Management of stationery and staff welfare items.
  • Engage in continuous improvement practices to enhance procurement processes and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Engage in continuous improvement activities focused on improving the customer experience aligned to our brand.
  • Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies, and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Previous work in a Procurement team, ideally within manufacturing.
  • Good knowledge of purchasing and commercial understanding of other business area functions.
  • Experience of using an ERP system.
  • Confident telephone manner.
  • Organized and proactive.
  • Able to prioritize workload.
  • Flexibility to be able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communicator and able to work with all stakeholders.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications – Word and Excel.
  • Negotiating skills.
  • Detail-oriented to ensure accuracy.

Working Hours: 20-25 hours per week. Days and times to be agreed.

Location: Bourton on the Water with hybrid working from home 40% of the time once probation completed.

Salary: £24,000-£26,000 (FTE).
