Lead Manager for Residential Childcare

Affinity Care Recruitment is a reputable and expanding childcare organization dedicated to providing high-quality support and education to children and young adults in a secure and nurturing environment. Our focus is on development, ensuring that we deliver exceptional care while adhering to industry regulations and best practices.
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking two experienced Registered Managers to oversee two distinct residential sites. The Registered Managers will play a crucial role in the effective management of the home, offering leadership and direction to the staff while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and promoting the safety and well-being of the children and young people in our care.
Compensation: Competitive salary ranging from £40,000 to £50,000 based on experience.
Work Schedule: Full-time position requiring 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to Ofsted regulations and standards, maintaining the home's operations within the statutory framework.
- Lead inspections and implement necessary improvements based on feedback and recommendations.
- Leadership and Management:
- Provide effective leadership to the staff team, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and development of staff to ensure they are well-equipped to deliver high-quality care.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and supervision sessions to support professional growth and address any concerns.
- Child-Centered Care:
- Ensure that all children receive the highest standard of care, support, and protection.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that promote the physical, emotional, and educational well-being of each child.
- Quality Assurance:
- Establish and maintain robust systems for monitoring and evaluating the quality of care provided.
- Conduct regular internal audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and take appropriate actions.
- Communication and Partnership:
- Develop and maintain effective communication channels with external agencies, families, and professionals involved in the children's lives.
- Build positive relationships with local authorities, social workers, and other stakeholders.
- Financial Management:
- Efficiently manage the budget for the children's home, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to meet the needs of the children.
- Monitor expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising care quality.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent.
- Significant experience in a management role within a residential childcare setting.
- Proven track record of successful Ofsted inspections and compliance.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations governing children's homes.
