Position Overview:

We are currently seeking two experienced Registered Managers to oversee two distinct residential sites. The Registered Managers will play a crucial role in the effective management of the home, offering leadership and direction to the staff while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and promoting the safety and well-being of the children and young people in our care.

Compensation: Competitive salary ranging from £40,000 to £50,000 based on experience.

Work Schedule: Full-time position requiring 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure adherence to Ofsted regulations and standards, maintaining the home's operations within the statutory framework.
    • Lead inspections and implement necessary improvements based on feedback and recommendations.
  • Leadership and Management:
    • Provide effective leadership to the staff team, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
    • Oversee recruitment, training, and development of staff to ensure they are well-equipped to deliver high-quality care.
    • Conduct regular staff meetings and supervision sessions to support professional growth and address any concerns.
  • Child-Centered Care:
    • Ensure that all children receive the highest standard of care, support, and protection.
    • Develop and implement individualized care plans that promote the physical, emotional, and educational well-being of each child.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Establish and maintain robust systems for monitoring and evaluating the quality of care provided.
    • Conduct regular internal audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and take appropriate actions.
  • Communication and Partnership:
    • Develop and maintain effective communication channels with external agencies, families, and professionals involved in the children's lives.
    • Build positive relationships with local authorities, social workers, and other stakeholders.
  • Financial Management:
    • Efficiently manage the budget for the children's home, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to meet the needs of the children.
    • Monitor expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising care quality.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent.
  • Significant experience in a management role within a residential childcare setting.
  • Proven track record of successful Ofsted inspections and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations governing children's homes.
