About the Role: We are seeking a compassionate and caring individual to join our team as a Youth Support Worker. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in creating a supportive environment for our young residents.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues to create a supportive environment.
  • Demonstrate resilience, patience, and understanding in challenging situations.
  • Use your natural flair to bring smiles to the faces of those you work with.
  • Be an attentive listener and provide emotional support.
  • Enjoy film nights, baking sessions, and games with the young residents.
  • Average 40 hours per week, on a 3-week rotating shift pattern, generally involving 2-3 shifts per week. Shifts between 08:30 to 22:00.

About the Qualifications: To apply for this role, you will need to hold the following:

  • Valid mandatory training certificates relating to the support of vulnerable young people.
  • A minimum of 3 months of paid experience working within a residential childcare setting.
  • An Enhanced DBS certificate, dated within the past 6 months or registered on the update service.
  • A NVQ Level 3 Residential Childcare (or equivalent) qualification.
