About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Manager to join our Refugee Support team in Belfast. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and managing our service, working closely with colleagues to maintain operations across the Belfast area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage our service, ensuring it meets the needs of asylum seekers and refugees in the Belfast area.
  • Provide direct line management to the team, overseeing their casework and managing their caseloads.
  • Work closely with staff and volunteers to build their confidence in casework skills and project work.
  • Collaborate with the Refugee Services Operations Manager and other internal teams to develop services, build external engagement, and scope out funding opportunities.
  • Manage budgets and monitor performance, ensuring the team is meeting its objectives.
Requirements
  • Strong operational management skills, with experience delivering client-focused projects and activities to at-risk people with complex needs.
  • Delivering casework to at-risk groups, with a deep understanding of rights, entitlements, and agencies in the field of asylum seekers, refugees, and/or other at-risk migrants.
  • Excellent communication and rapport-building skills, with experience liaising with external agencies frequently.
  • Certain in your ability to prepare, manage, and monitor budgets and able to collate, interpret, and report on a range of management information.
  • Competent people management skills, with the ability to get the best out of a team and work collaboratively to develop and achieve operational plans.
