Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Procurement & Supply Chain department at North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust to join the Stores & Materials Management Team. As a key member of this team, you will play a vital role in the processing and internal distribution of all inbound deliveries and the provision of a trusted and essential medical consumable stock replenishment system across all departments in the trust.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for working as part of a small team focused on the efficient and timely distribution of inbound deliveries, checking goods for accuracy against orders, localised picking of stock, stock checks on wards of medical consumables, creation of stock orders, and the delivery of items to departments.

About the Role

This is a dynamic role that touches upon various aspects of total supply chain management in a modern hospital at an entry level, with opportunities to develop the skills necessary to progress further in this field.

Requirements

  • Experience of working in stores/warehousing/retail or supply chain related environment
  • Good standard of education
  • Basic experience/knowledge of purchasing and supply chain related processes/activities/systems
  • Basic experience/knowledge of stock management principles
