Job Title: Graduate Structural Engineer

MJ Consulting Engineers (MJC) is a leading structural engineering firm within the Structural Engineering Alliance Group, dedicated to delivering exceptional services to the events industry. We are seeking a highly skilled Graduate Structural Engineer to join our Manchester office.

As a critical member of our team, you will be working on a diverse range of projects, including theatre buildings, show productions, and outdoor events, as well as the preservation and enhancement of Grade I and Grade II listed buildings.

With project costs up to £12m and the use of the latest design software, this role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in impactful, high-value projects. A competitive salary of up to £40k will be offered, commensurate with the importance of this role within our company.

MJC is part of the Structural Engineering Alliance Group, a collective of esteemed engineering firms, each distinguished in its respective field, united by a shared vision of pioneering progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize the latest design software to create and manage structural designs.
  • Ensure projects are appropriately resourced, delegating work to team members, programming deliverables, and monitoring progress.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent (Masters degree preferred).
  • Understanding of the use of design tools within a BIM environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and to develop your skills and career with training support.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel across the UK.
