Irwin Mitchell is a top-tier law firm seeking a skilled Residential Property Assistant to join our team in [location]. The ideal candidate will be experienced in conveyancing and have a proven track record of providing exceptional support to fee-earners.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing caseloads of purchase, sale, remortgage, and leasehold enfranchisement matters for freehold and leasehold properties. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing client relationships and caseloads efficiently
- Assisting fee-earners with conveyancing tasks, including file openings, conflict checks, sales packs, and protocol forms
- Drafting contract papers and completing post-completion documents
- Preparing property search reports and supporting leasehold extension matters
- Liaising with clients, banks, and other solicitors to keep them informed of progress
- Updating spreadsheets and tracking statutory dates
- Performing reprographics tasks, including photocopying, scanning, and printing
- Managing fee-earner diaries and coordinating appointments, meetings, and conference calls
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must have strong IT skills, experience working with case management systems, and a proven track record of handling a caseload. You should also possess excellent customer service skills, be familiar with HMLR, SDLT, and conveyancing searches, and have experience working in an administrative or secretarial capacity.
Our Benefits
