Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales and Business Development Manager to join our team at Mercury Hampton Ltd. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and expansion in the Northwest of England and North Wales region.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing strategic plans to drive business growth and expansion.
  • Managing key accounts and developing new business opportunities.
  • Providing technical solution selling and engineering expertise to customers.
  • Working closely with internal sales engineers to provide technical support and backup.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A mechanical engineering background or qualification through an engineering apprenticeship and/or engineering degree.
  • Proven experience in external sales from an associated sector (e.g., mechanical seals, rotating equipment, pumps, valves).
  • Full knowledge of rotating equipment and mechanical seals is highly beneficial.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills and ability to develop relationships, manage key accounts, and develop new business.
  • Proven track record of business-to-business sales.
  • Dynamic 'can-do' attitude and enthusiasm for sales.
