Job Title: Heavy Equipment Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team at a local metal processing plant in Lancaster, NY.

Work Hours: 1st shift - 7:15am-3:45pm

Estimated Salary: $28-$30 per hour based on experience

As a Heavy Equipment Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on all heavy equipment, troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems, and ensuring the correct operation of all machinery.

Required Skills:

  1. At least 3 years of experience repairing and maintaining heavy equipment, including forklifts, front end loaders, excavators, etc.
  2. Prior mechanical maintenance experience is essential
  3. Familiarity with hydraulics and basic electromechanical repairs is required
  4. Able to troubleshoot and diagnose problems for repair
  5. Welding experience is a plus

Job Duties:

  1. Follow a preventative maintenance schedule on all heavy equipment
  2. Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair heavy equipment, including hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic systems
  3. Perform routine inspections of heavy equipment to ensure correct operation
  4. Use various hand and power tools
  5. Operate equipment as needed
  6. Maintain a clean and safe work environment
