About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Battery Systems Engineer to join our team at LiNa Energy, a leading clean-tech battery technology company based in Lancaster. The successful candidate will play a key role in the engineering and design of our solid-state sodium battery cells, modules, and systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering and experience working with battery technologies. You will be responsible for contributing to the development of novel battery cells, modules, and systems, as well as designing tools and components using CAD software.

This is a full-time position based at our science facility in Lancaster. The salary range for this role is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including pension contributions and EMI share options.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the engineering and development of novel battery cells, modules, and systems.
  • Design and develop CAD drawings and technical documents for tooling and components.
  • Work closely with the Director of Engineering to develop technical roadmaps and plan work packages.

Requirements:

  • Degree or higher in mechanical engineering or relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in mechanical engineering design role or similar.
  • Highly proficient in 3D CAD design using SolidWorks and PDM.
