About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Pain Management Team. The successful candidate will work with people living with chronic pain and their families, providing specialist psychological assessments and interventions.
Main Responsibilities
The post holder will be responsible for:
- Providing highly specialist psychological assessments and interventions for people living with chronic pain
- Working with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement psychologically informed protocols and guidelines
- Providing teaching and training sessions on psychological principles and practice for other team members
- Participating in regular supervision and activities with the wider Clinical Health Psychology team
- Contributing to the delivery of a highly specialist psychology service that meets Trust and Directorate objectives

Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have:
- Doctoral level training in clinical, health or counselling psychology
- Eligibility for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist
- Experience of working with people living with chronic pain and their families
- Highly developed knowledge and skills in the use of complex methods of psychological assessment and intervention
- Ability to communicate effectively with people with long term health conditions and their families
