We are seeking a skilled Clinical/Forensic/Counselling Psychologist to join our team at Cygnet Hospital Oldbury.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified psychologist to work in a state-of-the-art PICU and Acute hospital for women. You will be responsible for supervising and supporting the psychological assessment and therapy provided by Assistant Psychologists and other clinical members of the service.

You will also have the opportunity to develop skills in professional postgraduate teaching, training and supervision, as well as involvement in audit, policy, service development and the assessment and interpretation of outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake specialist psychological assessments, interpretation from psychological tests, semi-structured interviews, individual and group therapy
  • Formulate and implement care plans for the formal psychological treatment and/or management of a patient's mental health problems
  • Supervise and support the psychological assessment and therapy provided by Assistant Psychologists and other clinical members of the service
Requirements

The successful candidate will have a HCPC registration, experience in a clinical forensic or mental health setting, and be able to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team. A strong understanding of trauma informed care and gender specific issues is also essential.
