We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our Community Care Psychology team in a full-time 8a psychologist position.

About the Job

This role involves providing neuropsychological assessments and interventions for people with acquired and neurodegenerative brain injury, including FND, and their families. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care and contribute to a culture of support and collaboration within our service and with partners.

As a key member of our MDT, you will actively contribute to case discussion and care planning, providing biopsychosocial formulations and evidence-based interventions. You will also provide formal and ad hoc supervision to other staff, including trainees, as well as providing teaching and learning opportunities.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A BSc/BA Honours degree at 2:1 or above in psychology
  • A postgraduate Doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology or its equivalent
  • Post-qualification training in specific, evidence-based techniques for use with clients with complex psychological presentations and/or physical health difficulties
  • Evidence of regular further professional training and experience as required by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Psychological Society (BPS)
  • Eligibility for registration as a Chartered Psychologist (Clinical or Counselling) by the BPS
  • Registration with the HCPC as a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a qualified Clinical/Counselling Psychologist within the relevant area
