Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Toolroom Team Leader to join our team at MTrec Technical. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the toolroom department, managing internal projects, and overseeing the maintenance and repair of tools and equipment.

About You
  • You will have hands-on experience within a toolroom environment and be proficient in general milling, turning, and grinding.
  • You will also have expertise in progression tooling concept, build, service, and repair, as well as jig and fixture design and manufacture.
  • You should have project management planning and budget control skills, with experience in drawing control and sub-contract work estimating.
  • You will be familiar with Department H&S legislation and Quality ISO 9001 standards.
  • A recognised engineering qualification is essential, with CNC milling and turning, EDM, and Master CAM, Inventor / Fusion being desirable skills.
The Job
  • Ensure the smooth running of the toolroom department to meet its role as a support function to the works.
  • Plan internal project and sub-contract work activities through the department.
  • Progress tooling concept, build, service, and repair.
  • Manage jig and fixture design and manufacture.
  • Project management planning and budget control.
  • Drawing control, sub-contract work estimating.
  • Department H&S legislation, Quality - ISO 9001.
  • Risk assessment completion internal and external contractors.
  • Good computer literacy and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work on your own or within a team.
The Benefits
  • Excellent pay rate - estimated to be £40,000-£50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • 28 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension 5%.
