About MTrec Technical

We are specialists in the engineering market sector and are looking for an experienced Toolroom Team Leader to join our team.

The Role
  • You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the toolroom department, managing internal projects, and overseeing the maintenance and repair of tools and equipment.
  • You will need to plan and manage sub-contract work activities, with a focus on efficiency and productivity.
  • You should have a strong understanding of Department H&S legislation and Quality ISO 9001 standards.
  • A recognised engineering qualification is essential, with CNC milling and turning, EDM, and Master CAM, Inventor / Fusion being desirable skills.
The Skills Required
  • Hands-on experience within a toolroom environment.
  • General milling, turning, and grinding.
  • Progression tooling concept, build, service, and repair.
  • Jig and fixture design and manufacture.
  • Project management planning and budget control.
  • Drawing control, sub-contract work estimating.
  • Department H&S legislation, Quality - ISO 9001.
  • Time served toolmaker with recognised engineering qualification.
The Salary

We offer an excellent pay rate, estimated to be £40,000-£50,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with 28 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension 5%, and bonus paid - depending on company performance.
