Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Learning Disability Nurse to join our Intensive Support Function (ISF) Team as a key member of the community care team.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in adult mental health and learning disability nursing, with a focus on delivering high-quality care and supporting individuals with complex needs.

The role will involve developing and implementing effective care plans, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, and providing clinical supervision and appraisals of nursing staff within the team.

About the Role

The ISF Team works with individuals who require additional support due to mental health or behavioural needs.

Our service users may have experienced physical and emotional trauma, personality disorders, mental health needs, and learning disabilities.

We aim to keep people out of hospital by providing high-quality clinical care and ensuring all work is evidence-based and in line with current legislation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Delivering high-quality clinical care and ensuring all work is needs-led, evidence-based, and in line with current legislation.
  • Supporting the development of services in line with workstreams focused on mental health, forensic, physical health, neurodevelopmental conditions, and cognitive impairment.
  • Providing clinical supervision and appraisals of nursing staff within the team and supervising students while on placement with the team.

Salary and Benefits

£45,839 - £53,119 per annum
