**Role Overview**

The London Academy of Excellence Tottenham is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Lead to join our well-resourced and experienced pastoral team. This pivotal role plays a crucial part in supporting the excellent outcomes of our students, who are academically ambitious and committed to their wellbeing.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead (Deputy Headteacher) and safeguarding team, comprising a Safeguarding Officer (SGO) and SEN Learning Support Assistant as Deputy DSLs. They will also collaborate with our Heads of Year and Deputy Heads of Year, as well as our counselling team, to address the pastoral needs of students.

This role is ideal for applicants with a background in counselling and safeguarding who wish to support our impressive students to reach their academic potential. Experience in youth mental health services is desirable.

In this position, you will model the values of the school by being academically ambitious and committed to the wellbeing of young people in our unique environment, which includes a selective 16-19 free school offering a rigorous academic curriculum and exceptional pastoral support.
