  • Job Costing & WIP: Oversee job costing and Work in Progress (WIP) reporting, ensuring accurate tracking and allocation of project costs.
  • Revenue & Expense Management: Manage project billing, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, revenue recognition, and expense management.
  • Month-End Close: Conduct the month-end close process for the project, including reconciliation of accounts, preparation of journal entries, and finalization of financial statements.

  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor project cash flow, ensuring sufficient funds are available to meet obligations. Manage payment schedules and liaise with banks or financial institutions as needed.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure the project complies with all relevant tax regulations, including sales tax, use tax, and payroll tax.
  • Site Collaboration: Work closely with the site management team, including project managers, engineers, and procurement staff, to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
  • Software Utilization: Utilize construction accounting software (e.g., Sage 300, QuickBooks, Procore) for data entry, financial tracking, and reporting.
  • Financial Control: Implement and maintain robust financial controls onsite to prevent errors, fraud, and inefficiencies.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
