We are seeking a dedicated Autism Support Specialist to join our team at Home not Hospital. The successful candidate will work with an individual who has autism support needs, providing 360 wrap-around support that covers all aspects of their life throughout the day and night.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support during good times and difficult periods in the individual's daily life.
- Have a good understanding of autism and mental health, and how these can impact daily living.
- Understand autism and have experience working with autistic people, and be able to advocate for the individual.
- Be consistent, patient, and understanding, and able to motivate the individual in a supportive manner.
- Work with the individual to solve issues and overcome day-to-day tasks.
