Job Title: Distribution Sales Manager South
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Distribution Sales Manager to join our team in the South of the UK. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing our Southern based Flooring & Accessories Distributors, driving sales growth and developing strategic relationships with key customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage key distributors and their branches in the South of the UK, including stock and sales analysis and rebate monitoring.
- Train area sales managers and instore teams on the benefits of Gerflor/Gradus product ranges.
- Proactively manage Trade Counter visibility and POS presence.
- Align with Area Sales Managers to enhance the need to pass-back orders to distribution for products attached to a dedicated product basket and this within clear pre-set guidelines.
- Track effectiveness of measures and actions initiated to increase sales.
- Identify and execute cross-selling opportunities.
- Closely cooperate with Regional Specification and Area Sales Managers to streamline the sales process and ensure top-level customer satisfaction.
- Gather market intelligence data to report back into the Marketing department, which will help develop future strategies in this marketplace.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of field-based sales experience within the building materials industry.
- Detailed knowledge of the UK building materials industry – and the role of distributors in particular.
- Good communication and negotiation skills on all management levels.
- Strong analytical skills and advanced MS Excel knowledge.
- A proven track record in executing successful sales strategies.
- A very collaborative and team-oriented working approach.
- Good networking skills and the ability to develop long-term oriented business relations.
- Structured working approach and high level of autonomy.
- Willingness to travel.
