About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Team Leader to join our team in one of our Residential Children's Homes in Bournemouth, Ringwood, or Ferndown area. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being and development of our children, ensuring they receive high-quality care that meets their individual needs.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a reputable organization that specializes in emotional and behavioral difficulties (EBD). Our established and reputable children's homes offer a cosy family feel and provide a supportive environment for our children to grow and develop.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will have experience working in a residential children's home setting and will be qualified to NVQ Level 4 in Children, Young People, and Families Practitioner or equivalent. They will also possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and patience, with the ability to form trusted relationships with children who have experienced traumatic backgrounds.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, creative, and capable of planning engaging activities that promote the children's leisure interests. They will also be detail-oriented and proficient in using IT systems to ensure accurate documentation of the children's needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications- NVQ Level 4 in Children, Young People, and Families Practitioner or equivalent
- At least one year of experience working in a residential children's home setting
- Excellent communication skills, empathy, and patience
- Proactive, creative, and capable of planning engaging activities
- Detail-oriented and proficient in using IT systems
