Job Title: Contentious Probate Solicitor

We are seeking an experienced Contentious Probate Solicitor to join our team at Simpson Judge Ltd. As a Contentious Probate Solicitor, you will be responsible for handling a busy caseload with minimal supervision, developing relationships with clients, and participating in marketing activities to promote the firm's services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a caseload of contentious probate matters with minimal supervision
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their needs are met
  • Participate in marketing activities to promote the firm's services and attract new clients
  • Contribute to the team's objectives and work to promote the firm's values
Requirements:
  • 1-3 years PQE essential
  • At least 40% of previous caseload should be contentious trust and probate related
  • Experience of non-contentious private client work would be advantageous
  • Excellent client-facing skills, organisation, communication, and potential leadership skills
  • Ability to prioritise work and work to strict timescales
  • Empathy, compassion, and maturity
  • Ability to develop new sources of work and introductions
  • Excellent IT skills, including the use of case management systems
