Learning Support Officer in an Independent Special Day School

We are seeking a highly motivated Learning Support Officer to join our team in an independent special day school. This role involves providing support to students with complex needs, including autism, PMLD, and complex medical conditions, to achieve their educational and personal goals. As a member of our staff, you will work collaboratively with the teaching team to develop and implement individualized learning plans, foster an environment that promotes equality and diversity, and emphasize empowerment and support to enable students to reach their full potential.
Responsibilities
Supporting students with complex needs in various learning contexts. Developing and implementing individualized learning plans in collaboration with the teaching team. Providing high-quality education and support tailored to identified needs. Fostering an inclusive environment that promotes equality and diversity. Encouraging creativity, solution focus, and adaptability in students and colleagues alike.
Requirements
At least a level 2 qualification in Maths and English. Passionate about working with children and young people with additional needs. Willingness to work towards formal qualifications, attend training, and take responsibility for your own development. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Creativity, solution focus, and adaptability are essential for this role.
