IT Support/Business Applications Analyst

Adecco Recruitment is seeking a skilled IT professional to join our client's team as an IT Support/Business Applications Analyst. This role is based at our client's site on the outskirts of Lancaster and offers a permanent/full-time position with a competitive salary of £25-£35K dependent on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support to end-users, addressing hardware and software issues through the in-house ServiceDesk application.
  • Maintain and update IT documentation, including inventory of hardware and software assets.
  • Perform regular backups and ensure data integrity.
  • Assist in monitoring and troubleshooting system and network issues.
  • Participate in the management of the company's infrastructure, including servers, networks, printers and endpoints.
  • Participate in the implementation of and monitoring of security protocols to protect IT assets and data.
  • Install, configure and maintain software applications used by the company.
  • Provide support and training for software applications to ensure effective utilisation.
  • Assist in the evaluation and implementation of new software solutions.
  • Stay informed about emerging cybersecurity threats and recommend protective measures.

Office 365 Administration:

  • Assist in the management of Office 365 applications, including user account creation and permissions.
  • Provide support and training to users on Office 365 tools such as Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive.
  • Assist with Microsoft 365 security and data governance policies administration.

PowerApps Development:

  • Participate in the design, development and maintenance of PowerApps and Power Automate applications to streamline business processes.
  • Collaborate with departments to gather requirements and participate in the creation custom applications that meet their needs.
  • Provide training and support for PowerApps users, ensuring effective utilization of the applications.

ERP Support:

  • Assist in the administration and maintenance of the company's ERP systems (SyteLine and Cloudsuite).
  • Support ERP users by troubleshooting issues and providing training as needed.
  • Perform system administration tasks, including user management, configurations and daily reports checks.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in IT support and administration.
  • Any relevant IT Certification (IT Administration, App Development, Security) would be a benefit.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 administration.
  • Some knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, BAAN SyteLine, Cloudsuite) would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure and protocols.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (Hyper-V preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell preferred)
  • Some experience with the Microsoft Power Platform tools (e.g. PowerApps, Power Automate).
  • Awareness/knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
  • Understanding of ITIL practices and principles.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and part of a team.
