Student Information and Support Officer Role Overview


Victoria College of Arts and Design is seeking a dedicated Student Information and Support Officer to join our London campuses. As part of our Student Services team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality support to our students throughout their academic journey.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized support to students on academic progress, personal matters, and career development.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for student enquiries via email, phone, and in-person.
  • Ensure compliance with university policies and procedures when responding to student needs.
  • Manage student attendance and absences in line with university policies.
  • Collaborate with academic and administrative staff to identify and address student concerns and provide feedback on academic progress.
  • Maintain and update student records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Provide regular and accurate reports to VCAD and partner universities.
  • Organize and facilitate events and workshops to promote student engagement and enhance the student experience.
  • Monitor student attendance, academic progress, and behavior, intervening when necessary to ensure student success.
  • Support administrative processes, including enrolment, withdrawals, and reporting.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of student information and support services.
  • Assist with other duties as requested by the Team leader or Head of Student Experience and Outcome.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in student services or a similar role in higher or further education, with a strong understanding of academic and personal challenges students face.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of challenges faced by students in higher education and ability to offer tailored support.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
